The 4-H Shooting Sports program provides safety training for youth and adults in various shooting and study disciplines. Adult volunteers become certified by participating in weekend training events held twice each year at 4-H camps. Older teens age 14 and older may also attend as Junior Leaders at the instructor training weekends. Disciplines include: archery, coordinator, pistol, rifle, shotgun, hunting and wildlife studies and muzzleloading. Additional training is available through Living History sessions which allow instructors to choose a particular era in time.
