Dear Campers and Families,
I know this year has been hard, and full of many losses. I hope that you and your families are still managing to do the best you can and find the bright spots.
I am also very sorry that I have to bring news of one more CHANGE. While Ohio 4-H will be making a final decision on the 4-H Camping program, I did not see a reason to wait to let you know that we will not be holding Special Needs Camp in person this summer. With the restrictions and limits that will likely be in place, and thinking about our campers, I just cannot think of a plan that will make for an enjoyable event that looks anything like Camp typically would.
We will be working to plan at least a few virtual meetings and will have a Camp in the Box that will be shipping in late June so that we can participate in some things together during the weekend of July 9th. Shifting gears now will give us a chance to plan a quality program for our Camper Families. I know some of our campers may not do as well with virtual events, but we are working to plan something that everyone can participate in, in whatever way works best for them.
