JACKSON, Ohio – On Friday, March 5, Ohio Valley Bank debuted the Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp debit card as part of its Community First debit card program. This new card design is now available at all Ohio Valley Bank locations.
Ohio Valley Bank checking account holders can choose to upgrade the look of their debit card to the Canter’s Cave card for $10, with $5 being donated back to the camp.

Summer staff members are responsible for providing leadership to a variety of educational and social recreational activities during 4-H and other resident and non-resident camps and events at Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp. This is an ideal position for a college student seeking a paid internship. Extension staff will work with a qualified candidate to meet requirements and to provide supervision, documentation, and feedback.

The next series of Exploration Kits are available for sale now! The kits are designed for youth, ages 8 to 11, but can be adapted for use with all ages.
There will be one kit per month, February, March, and April, with 3-4 activities per kit. The kits will include instructions and all the supplies to complete the activities to go with that month's theme. The themes are February - Snow Day, March - Forces of Nature, and April - Science of Flight. Each kit will be $20. Ordering Deadlines is on the 25th of each month prior to the month in which the kit will be delivered.

Attention Deer Hunters! Are you looking for a place to stay while enjoying the season in Southern Ohio? Deer Camp at Canter's Cave 4-H Camp is just around the corner. The cost is $45 a day and includes dinner at camp and lodging in Harrison-Powell Lodge. Harrison-Powell Lodge is newly renovated and features new flooring throughout as well as central air and heat. Did you miss Summer Camp? We did, and that is why we came up with a plan to offer Canter's Cave 4-H Camp Exploration Kits! The kits are designed for youth, ages 8 to 11, but can be adapted for use with all ages.
There will be one kit per month, October through December, with 3-4 activities per kit. The kits will include instructions and all the supplies to complete the activities to go with that month's theme. The themes are: October - Ohio Trees, November - Native American History, and December - Hunting Fossils. Each kit will be $20. Ordering Deadlines are listed below.

Ohio 4-H has made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel 4-H camps through August 31st. The health of our campers, staff and volunteers are our highest priority. However, this decision has impacted our camps financially and will make it difficult to maintain or retain our camps.

We know that everyone is missing camp this summer. We wish that we could have all our campers at camp with our cabins full, songs being sung at the top of our lungs, swimming in the pool and creating memories around the campfire. But we also know that canceling camps this summer was the best decision to keep our campers safe and healthy.
